The day highlights Maine's coastal communities, their heritage and the cultural and economic significance of the fishery while encouraging lobster fans nationwide to enjoy the iconic Maine staple at its seasonal best.

For more than 150 years, Maine Lobster has been a cornerstone of Maine's identity and economy. Generations of families along the coast have upheld the time-honored traditions to preserve the resource for years to come with countless visitors traveling to Maine to savor the sweetest lobster on earth directly from the source.
